Pediatrician and Neonatologist with over three decades of experience, having served as the Head of Pediatrics & Neonatal Care at OIL India Hospital since 1995. He has held the position of Chief General Manager – Medical Services and has been extensively trained in pediatric emergency and intensive care across India and abroad, including the USA.

Serving at OIL India Hospital, Duliajan, a 190-bedded multi-specialty hospital in Upper Assam.
Headed the Pediatrics and Neonatal Section since 1995, managing both inpatient and emergency pediatric care.
Served as Chief General Manager – Medical Services (Head of Medical Department) from April 2023 to October 2024.
Managed a 12-bedded pediatric ward with special care beds and a Level II NICU with advanced neonatal equipment.

Achievements :

Secretary of IAP Assam State Branch (2008) – Led the branch to win the Best State Branch Award and accolades for World Breastfeeding & ORS Week celebrations.
Purbanchal Pioneer Award (2009) – Honored at the XVI East Zone Pedicon in Shillong for his contributions to pediatric care.
Executive Board Member, Central IAP (2013) – Played a significant role at the national level in pediatric healthcare initiatives.
First Prize in Paper Presentation, PEDICON 2018 – Awarded for his paper on "Bubble CPAP vs. Ventilatory CPAP" in infants with respiratory distress.
Pediatrics Post Graduate Nutrition (PPGN) Certificate – Completed from Boston University, USA in 2018.
HOPE Award – Manager of the Year (2022) – Recognized for exemplary leadership during the COVID-19 pandemic and vaccination drives.

1. Presented a paper on Cyclical Vomiting syndrome at Hyderabad in Pedicon’2010.

2. Published a topic on pathophysiology & diagnosis of Pyogenic meningitis in
children in Mid term CME souvenir of IAP Assam on 27th June’2010.

3. Delivered a talk on Refractory status epilepticus in Medimeet 2009 at Tezpur
Assam from 27th to 29th March’2009.

4. Delivered a talk on KMC on XVI East Zone pedicon 2009 held from 30th October
to 4th November’2009 in Shillong.

5. Presented a oral paper on “Knowledge and attitude of Kangaroo mother care
among working mothers and Nurses in an Industrial hospital at Pedicon 2009,
Bangalore.
